Hi!
My name is Ky, I'm a Gen Z and triple water sign (Cancer, Scorpio, Scorpio). I am a mega spiritualist; I manifest, read tarot and oracle, do yoga, and fully believe in the powers of the universe and energies. Besides reading and writing, I love to be outdoors and with friends. I love hiking and hammocking, or just sipping a sweet white wine with a good salad while chatting with the people I care so deeply about.
My Tastes
Book-wise, I’ve always been all over the place. I’d say the main genre I consume is romance… Wow, how typical of a single, 22 year old woman. But lately, I’ve been expanding a lot more in memoirs, fantasy, horror, and mystery. However, I'm a mood reader, so I can guarantee there will be weeks of one genre straight. ​

As well as reading, I'm also INSANELY into music; I love the theory of music (including conspiracies), history of musicians, different styles, and how each musician and their styles intertwine and impact one-another. I could honestly give presentations about my favorite bands and what I think is going on with them at any time. My favorite genres at the moment are folk, classic rock, and anything retro-soul/funk. But again, I'm not bound by the confines of a genre; I listen to most everything.
Why this blog?

I think my big appreciation of culture in art comes from my growing up in different cultures, as I was raised in a military family. My dad served in the Air Force for 20 years, so I was born in Japan; lived in England and New Mexico; then my family settled in to Colorado, where I attended the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. I also finished my undergrad there by studying abroad in England!
I had the idea to intertwine my two biggest passions; reading and music. So, that’s what this blog is… welcome to my many thoughts on books and music! For my very personal reviews of books, there will be a Spotify link to a playlist made by me, for you. Each playlist will represent what I thought was ~~the vibe~~ of the book. Happy reading!
